If you’re reading this, you’re likely innately curious. I fancy myself inquisitive. And after a lovely porch hang with my feline niece this weekend, I remembered just how lovely curiosity is at creating space for wonder and intuition.
So this week’s practice is brief. I’ve set a “somatic alarm” to notice those times when I feel an inclination to brush past something on account of “yeah, I know,” to see what I can glean from giving myself 10 seconds to also be curious.
I’ve already decided that my inner child can ask all the questions she wants, though I’ll be hanging out in the experience—not spending energy on coming up with any answers, at least not yet ;) Feel free to put up any bumpers you need to keep this fun and productive if you choose to join me. And then, next week, we can all reflect to see what we discover from this curious little experiment.
How has your relationship with your curious cat morphed over time? How do you remember to look/listen/feel with new or different eyes/ears/skin?
I’m excited to see what comes up for myself as much as I am to hear from you.
With gratitude & wild wonder,
-jewels
